Some photos of the last couple days. I am in western NY and last night I had to see people on TV in Chicago and Minneapolis complaining because of the cold--well try that cold with HIGH WINDS! AND SNOW! These pictures can't demonstrate how bad it is, but they are what I took here at home and my boyfriend took on his way to work last night at midnight, and coming home this morning at 11am. Main streets still not down to the tar. Snow is so frozen to the road that it is very bumpy to drive on, like going thru a bunch of potholes. The TA truck stop was overloaded--they have
105 parking spaces, but because the interstate 90 was closed, there were
300 trucks jammed into the parking lot and spilling out onto the road parked all along both sides for a mile.
Our 2 cars in front of the apt.
Two trees on the side of our building.
The sliding glass door in the back of our building. Screen has so much snow blown stuck to it you can't see out, and the glass has some stuck to it also.
Semi trucks parked out in the street because the I90 was closed and the TA truck stop was full. Boyfriend was on his way to work there and took this picture.
Pulling in to the truck stop at midnight.
Only way to get to the back of the property to the garage was to go over the truck scale.
Trucks and snow.
Trucks stuck at the TA because I90 was closed.
